Functionaries:

5. Support Executives – 30 (one in each district)

The Project Implementation Unit at District level will be operational with posting of one Program Executive. Chief District Veterinary Officer will be overall responsible for operationalisation of PIU. He will designate one officer working at CDVO office as In-charge of PIU at District level. After introduction of total IT solutions Schemes and programs undertaken by the ARD Department, the information as regards to implementation and its outcome shall be accessed from Livestock Aid Centre level. The data will be sent by PIU regularly on real time basis to SPMU. The progress of Livestock service health care, Fodder development, Poultry Development and small animal development, Dairy/goat/poultry units set up under various Government schemes will be documented in a systematic manner. The training coordinator/nodal officer, ADVO (LP) and ADVO (DC) of the District concerned will be responsible for timely collection of the information from field. CDVOs concerned will supervise and guide the database management in their District. The SPMU will work in close coordination with the National Informatics Center (NIC), and Department officials at State, Districts and Sub-Divisions.

A State Project Management Unit is envisioned to support, monitor and manage different activities of Welfare Schemes/ Projects. Since this will involve wide spectrum of activities, it is imperative to have professionals who can provide technical assistance and Project Management support to Directorate of AH & VS, Odisha.
